Sverre van der Velde (2000) is an artist working within the realm of lens based media and text. 

My work is driven by an ongoing research into identity and the intricacies of human relationships. I explore the intersections between personal experience and shared human connections, revealing where individual stories resonate with collective ones.

I’m especially fascinated by the relationship between humans and landscapes, convinced that one’s identity is deeply intertwined with the environment they inhabit. The landscape shapes us, but how do we, in turn, connect with it? I see my work as a conversation between intention and spontaneity, where the landscapes I inhabit shape the narrative as much as my own ideas do.

Besides my personal artistic practise I am also 1/4 of artist collective de tegel.
